"Remember, the enemy gate is down."

Production notes: A pic I did based on the novel "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card written in the late seventies that may have influenced a LOT of anime imagery. The officers in the background are Rackham, Graff, and Anderson. The fourth is a space-filling extra.

As for the starships, I made sure they didn't fall victim to the 2d thinking of most sf ship design, like in Star Wars, etc. where they have all the guns and interesting things on one side of the craft, like a naval vessel! It makes no sense. So, the Hive Queen fleet ships are symmetrical on 6 sides, and the IF ships are symmetrical on 4 sides. They only have a front and a back, not a "deck" and a "hull".

The hero is supposed to be 11. My sister works with kids and assures me that this is what an eleven year old kid with military training would look like.

Edit: uploaded the original version with the smaller head that my sister likes. I hope he passes for an 11 year old...

Sweeet. Hmm... the head seems a bit large, but then again he is bent forward so. Though, the same could be said for his left hand, but it seems it wouldn't hurt to make it jusssst a bit larger. Yeah, other than those minor things it looks perfect to me. Awesome work. :+fav:

Is the head a bit big for an eleven year old? If so, I'll change it. The head used to be smaller but everyone guessed him to be 14 or so.

Extremely impressive... I really like how the colors seem to change from the top to bottom in the overall tone of the picture. Or something like that.

One of my favorite books of all time.
It probably has influenced me in ways I even don't comprehend yet.

The head looks good. Keep in mine Ender head was a little abnormal in the books.
I could go into detail why but it is not important.
I especially like the Admirals and leaders in the background. There faces are exactly like how you would think they would be during the "final" battle.

Exellent job, It gets me thinking that an anime strictly based on it or the other characters would be an interesting thing to see. I was just thinking who much the book resembles anime, maybe that is what really got me into anime.

It would be excellent if animation looked like this picture.

Ender's head is abnormal? Is it possible you are confused with Bean (regarding plot elements in Ender's Shadow)?

As for anime, isn't it funny that he's refered to as the "third child" like another kid who was forced to save the world? :)
